Pacnet Expands North American and European Enterprise Markets Organization

Pacnet-logo-color-1200HONG KONG, 26 February 2014 – Pacnet, a leading provider of integrated network and technology solutions in the Asia-Pacific region, today announced the appointments of Bill Risch as Vice President, North America and Europe, Michael Kawalchuk as Regional Director, East America and Europe and Bill Haubold as Regional Director, West America to address growth in the United States and European markets.

Risch, Kawalchuk and Haubold will work as part of Pacnet’s Enterprise Markets organization led by President of Enterprise Markets, Cardi Prinzi.  They will be focused on supporting strategic and enterprise customers with current operations in the Asia-Pacific or looking to expand to the region.

Pacnet’s Enterprise Markets division has resources in markets around the world, including San Francisco, New York, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Sydney, Taipei, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Seoul, Melbourne, China, and India.  

Pacnet’s service portfolio includes MPLS and Ethernet International Private Line (EIPL) supported with network Points of Presence (PoPs) throughout the Asia-Pacific region, with interconnected data centers in most major markets including Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia and China. Risch holds more than 20 years of telecommunication experience and for the past three years, has served as Pacnet’s Regional Director based in San Francisco.  Under his direction, Pacnet has significantly grown revenue from cloud, content, and enterprise customers.  Prior to Pacnet, Risch held several sales management positions at Verizon Business, MCI and WorldCom.

Kawalchuk will be based in New York and joins Pacnet from CenturyLink.  Prior to CenturyLink, he served as Sales Director for Global Crossing, Managing Director for the New York Stock Exchange and Director at MCI. 

Haubold will be based in San Francisco and returns to Pacnet after serving as Business Development Manager for LifeLock, a U.S.-based identity theft protection company.  Prior to that and a previous stint at Pacnet, he held sales and leadership positions at Splice Communications, LDDS Verizon Business and MCI.
