Job Description:

iMiller Public Relations (iMPR) is currently seeking a Media Relations Manager. The Media Relations Manager will be responsible for general media and analyst relations. The Media relations Manager will also be responsible for the strategic positioning of client messages,  including all aspects of researching, developing and producing successful briefings and meetings for clients in order to help get their messages out to market.

Duties & Job Functions:

The ideal candidate will support both iMPR and its expansive portfolio of clients in every aspect of media relations management, including, but not limited to:

  • Researching media opportunities
  • Identifying and recommending interesting story angles / new developments for each client to pitch to the media; developing & pitching items to media
  • Scheduling meetings with clients and media/analysts
  • Researching speaking opportunities, and managing/following-up on related submissions
  • Researching award opportunities, and managing/following-up on related submissions
  • Preparing executive briefing materials
  • Issuing internal reports on briefings as required
  • Attending (via conference calls and/or in-person) briefings
  • Participating on regular daily calls weekly as required
  • Re-tweeting daily tweets for iMPR properties and clients
  • Re-tweeting weekly blogs for iMPR and clients
  • Posting news and information to LinkedIn groups
  • Providing data to Project Manager for weekly reports: social media, press releases
  • Maintaining iMPR’s media database


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to execute multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and extremely organized
  • Strong technical skills; proficiency in Microsoft® Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong awareness and understanding of the IT/telecom markets (experience within the telecommunications/IT industry is preferred)
