Position Title: Writer (Independent Contractor on Retainer) for Public Relations and Marketing Company
Start Date: ASAP
iMiller Public Relations (iMPR), an international public relations and marketing firm specializing in the telecommunications and technology industry sectors, seeks a talented, versatile and reliable Writer to join its Content Team as an independent contractor on a short to medium-term retainer basis. Ideal candidates interested in joining the iMPR Content Team as an independent contractor on a short to medium-term retainer will have experience writing for the telecommunications or technology industry sectors, or be a polished and seasoned writer who can readily adapt their business writing, corporate communications, journalism, public relations/advertising or marketing writing skills to the discipline of developing telecom and technology written communications. This is an exceptional opportunity for an early, mid-career or senior writer to secure an ongoing relationship as an independent contractor with a busy and growing public relations and marketing firm that will provide steady work to augment their overall stable of clients. Experience writing press releases, media alerts, website content, blogs, Electronic Direct Mail, and short- and long-form articles is required. A background or the ability to develop white papers and case studies is desired. Please note that the iMPR Content Team works in a deadline-oriented environment. So our writers must be comfortable with, available and responsible to deliver assignments on 24 to 72-hour turnaround times whenever workloads or our clients’ editorial schedules demand. As an added advantage, iMPR runs a virtual office, which means that independent contractors on retainer with the Content Team can work from any location in the country provided they possess a reliable Internet connection and are available during standard office hours by phone. Interested candidates should email firstname.lastname@example.org with a cover letter stating their interest and attach a résumé and three writing samples demonstrating a range of writing styles, from formal and corporate, to informal and conversational.
