Social Media Community Manager

Position Title: Social Media Community Manager

Reports to: VP, Business Process Management

Start Date: ASAP

Position Summary:

This position will work with the iMPR social media team to monitor clients social presence and to create compelling and dynamic content using key social media sites such as Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and Google+.

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organization to promote the goals, messages, and awareness
  • Execute new tactics to grow clients’ followers, increasing engagement and driving traffic to client websites
  • Monitor social media trends and identify key industry influencers
  • Use creative means to plan, organize, and implement a range of social media programs
  • Schedule and publish content to social sites including but not limited to: Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest
  • Use alerts, search and other tools to monitor for client mentions and identify opportunities for engagement
  • Review, evaluate and recommend new tools, procedures or process as available
  • Creating engaging content across client’s social media accounts i.e. images, text posts, videos & curated content
  • Manage social media reporting and analytics processes to develop social performance
  • Monitor comments and engagement on all approved social platforms
  • Respond to comments and facilitate conversations with the community as necessary

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Meticulous approach to work and an eye for detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain high-quality work and meet strict deadlines
  • High level of proficiency working with popular social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, SlideShare, YouTube, HootSuite, etc.

Education and Experience:

  • One (1) to Three (3) years of related experience, agency experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Strong awareness and understanding of the IT/telecom markets; experience within the telecommunications/IT industry is preferred
