BridgePoint’s Mobility Solutions Among Chicagoland’s Best Innovation-Based Products
OAK BROOK, IL, AUGUST 12, 2013 – BridgePoint Technologies, a full service information technology consulting firm, announces today the selection of John Gavilan, the company’s Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, as one of three winners in the ‘Innovation’ category of the Daily Herald Business Ledger’s 14th annual Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards. The Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards recognize entrepreneurs and their innovations from Chicago and surrounding suburbs. Selected honorees demonstrate the best traits of entrepreneurship, including willingness to take risk, drive, perseverance and business creativity.
Winners of the Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards were selected from a pool of over 30 nominees from various organizations based in Chicagoland. BridgePoint’s Mobility Solutions, developed primarily by Mr. Gavilan and his team, have ranked among the area’s best innovation-based products, providing organizations with better means for internal processing, recording and recognizing manual mistakes, as well as overcoming technical challenges and working with greater efficiency as they enter the age of the mobile workforce.
Mr. Gavilan has created several innovative mobile applications on behalf of BridgePoint Technologies, both for modern-day enterprises and small and mid-sized businesses, as well as for individual end-users. Notable mobile innovations include Digital Workorder (DWO) and Clevermind, as well as an application for one of BridgePoint’s insurance customers, custom-designed to provide end-users with navigation to customer sites, as well as specific appointment details and tasks. Yet another application developed by Mr. Gavilan allows remote staff to create compliance audit reports on-site at customer locations, aggregating pictures, signatures, and other data into a final customer report, and relaying the information back to their home offices for internal review.
Winners of the Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards’ seven different categories have been selected by an esteemed judging panel comprised of representatives from event sponsors, local business associations and the editorial staff of Daily Herald Business Ledger. The awards will be presented at an evening recognition reception, taking place on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Northern Illinois University in Naperville, IL.
