President and CEO Ray La Chance Discusses Strategies for Enhancing Connectivity in Today’s Mobile World

ZenFi LogoNew York, NY – November 6, 2014ZenFi Networks, Inc., New York’s premier provider of fronthaul and backhaul fiber to the NY metro wireless community, announces that its President and CEO,  Ray La Chance, has been selected to present at the MarketplaceLIVE event hosted by Telx, taking place November 13, 2014 at the Nob Hill Masonic Center in San Francisco, CA.

Mr. La Chance will join moderator Adam Lesser, Cleantech Curator, Gigaom Research, and C-level participants from leading start-up organizations on a panel entitled “Startups – Strategies and Trends for 2015”, taking place at 4:15 PM on November 13th. Participants will explore the opportunities and challenges faced by startups within their respective addressable markets. Mr. La Chance will offer insights into ZenFi Networks, a startup founded by the team that built Lexent Metro Connect (now Lightower) and Metro Network Services. He will also discuss how the company is enabling connectivity by addressing the issue of accessible and affordable bandwidth for mobile wireless applications throughout New York City via its new private, dedicated fiber optic network.

“We are living in an increasingly mobile world where mobile data traffic is on pace to reach 15.9EB per month by 2018 and mobile-connected devices will exceed the Earth’s population by year’s end[1],” remarks Ray La Chance, President and CEO, ZenFi Networks. “ZenFi is a startup that is at the forefront of fiber optic and fixed wireless network infrastructure. We help the next-gen MNO, carrier and enterprise meet the exploding demands of today’s connected users and devices by deploying an integrated network solution that reduces operational costs, simplifies deployment and enables connectivity.”

ZenFi’s purpose-built dark fiber network leverages a neighborhood fronthaul fiber network and colocation infrastructure model specifically designed to support the wireless service provider requirement for densification – bringing more small cells, in-building and outdoor Distributed Antenna System (DAS) remotes, Remote Radio Heads (RRHs), macro sites and Wi-Fi access points closer to the user.  Unlike traditional carrier networks that are built for enterprise applications and have sparse fiber density between end-user sites, centralized data centers and carrier hotels, ZenFi’s network is designed to support widely distributed wireless equipment interconnection and colocation.  ZenFi’s dense fiber optic fronthaul network footprint is homed to a series of distributed base station hotels for aggregation and backhaul to major interconnection facilities. The ZenFi model makes widespread adoption of Fiber-to-the-Antenna (FTTA) a cost-effective and realistic solution for wireless carriers and neutral hosts.
