New York, NY – June 3, 2015ZenFi Networks, Inc., New York’s premier provider of dedicated fiber optic network for mobile fronthaul, backhaul and wavelength connectivity, announces today that its CEO, Ray La Chance, will speak at Light Reading’s Big Telecom Event (BTE), taking place June 9-10, 2015 at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois.

BTE v2On Tuesday, June 9, Mr. La Chance will join executives from SOLiD, ADRF, Mobilitie and EdgeConneX on the panel In-Building Wireless – It’s Not Just Wi-Fi and More Important than You Think…Here’s Why!, part of the Northeast DAS & Small Cell Association (NEDAS) In-Building Solutions Workshop at BTE.  Taking place at 4:00 PM in room E262, the session will explore the opportunities and complexities associated with in-building wireless, including addressing the issues of cost as well as competing Wi-Fi, Distributed Antenna System (DAS) and Small Cell architectures.

The following day, Wednesday, June 10, Mr. La Chance and fellow executives from Heavy Reading, VeEX, Inc. and Fujitsu Network Communications will converge on the panel Mobility Infrastructure: Bolstering the Backhaul for Still More New Requirements, taking place from 4:10 PM – 5:00 PM.  This session will explore mobile operators’ mounting need for backhaul in the United States as they strive to meet new requirements to support Long Term Evolution-Advanced (LTE-A), Small Cell and Centralized Radio Access Network (C-RAN) architectures, and the need to interwork with Software-Defined Network (SDN) controllers.  Mr. La Chance will also provide insight into how providers are addressing the rising need for mobile backhaul with high-performance optical network solutions.

“ZenFi is looking forward with great anticipation to participating in the panel discussions at BTE with other esteemed industry colleagues,” states La Chance.  “Both the In-Building Wireless and Mobility Infrastructure sessions present invaluable forums to explore the technical and financial challenges in the mobile market, which have reached a critical juncture in the evolution of enabling the Internet of Things (IoT) and connectivity from anywhere, on any device, at any time.”

Founded by the innovative team that built Lexent Metro Connect and Metro Network Services, ZenFi was formed to solve the issue of accessible and affordable bandwidth for mobile wireless applications. ZenFi’s purpose-built network leverages a neighborhood network and colocation infrastructure model specifically designed to support the wireless service provider requirement for densification – bringing more small cells, in-building and outdoor Distributed Antenna System (DAS) remotes, Remote Radio Heads (RRHs), macro sites and Wi-Fi access points closer to the user.  Through their unique service solutions and custom fiber connectivity between these sites and the New York Metro Area’s Carrier Hotel facilities, including 325 Hudson, ZenFi’s solutions enable the Internet of Things (IoT) from nearly anywhere on any device.
