CTO Sagi Brody to Speak on Content Management Software Security Vulnerabilities and How the Hosting Community is Overcoming These Challenges
NEW YORK, June 9, 2016 – Webair, a leading provider of Cloud Hosting, Colocation and Managed solutions, today announces that its Chief Technology Officer, Sagi Brody, will speak at the Messaging, Malware and Mobile Anti-Abuse Working Group (M3AAWG) 37th General Meeting, to be held June 13-16, 2016 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
On Wednesday, June 15 at 3:30 PM, Mr. Brody will join panelists from Open Source Matters, Bluehost-Endurance, Internet Infrastructure Coalition (i2Coalition), Rackspace and more during the highly anticipated panel: “The CMS War Zone.” The discussion will focus on how the popularity of Content Management Software (CMS) installations has driven it to be among the most common hacking targets on the Internet. Panelists will also explore the issues facing the hosting community due to these vulnerabilities, and what steps are being taken to discover solutions to mitigate the problem.
“A variety of factors play into the vulnerabilities of today’s CMS, including their development on open source frameworks as well as the widespread use of various CMS plugins and themes,” explains Mr. Brody. “With CMS becoming the de facto standard in web development and implementation, and with hackers growing increasingly sophisticated every day, I look forward to sharing my insight into what users can do to protect themselves from these vulnerabilities.”
