CTO Sagi Brody and Senior Infrastructure & Network Engineer Logan Best to Present August 19 in Seattle, WA

Webair LogoNEW YORK, NY, August 5, 2015 – Webair, a leading provider of Cloud Hosting, Colocation and Managed solutions, today announces that its Chief Technology Officer, Sagi Brody, and Senior Infrastructure & Network Engineer, Logan Best, will present at LinuxCon North America 2015 in Seattle, Washington on Wednesday, August 19, 2015.  The three-day conference, being held August 17-19 at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel, converges leading maintainers, developers and project leads in the Linux community and from around the world.

At 11:25 AM, Mr. Brody and Mr. Best will present “Multi-Layer DDoS Mitigation Strategies”, offering business and technical perspectives, insight and real-world examples of Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) mitigation strategies at every layer of the network.  Leveraging firsthand experience in managing and running thousands of Linux and UNIX managed service platforms, Mr. Brody and Mr. Best will also share best practices on how to prevent DDoS attacks and provide protection in complex Cloud environments.

“DDoS threats are growing in frequency, duration and complexity, and now require mitigation at every layer of the network.  Already in 2015, we have seen double the number of attacks than last year,” says Logan Best, Webair’s Senior Infrastructure & Network Engineer.  “With the potential to cripple productivity, destroy reputation, and waste valuable corporate resources, companies must be more informed and prepared to prevent these attacks today than ever before.  With proven proxy-based and volumetric DDoS Mitigation solutions, Webair is knowledgeable in helping customers mitigate risk and protect their mission-critical environments.”

Later that afternoon at 4:00 PM, Mr. Brody will present “Why Managed Service Providers Should Embrace Container Technology”.  In addition to exploring the various container technologies in use today, the session will also discuss their value for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and Cloud providers, and how container technology can be incorporated into corporate strategies for future business planning and development.

“Containers are fast becoming the hot new trend in Cloud computing because of their ability to accelerate application delivery, enable more seamless backup, recovery and restoration processes, and simplify customer relationship management for MSPs and Cloud providers,” adds Sagi Brody, CTO of Webair.  “I look forward to sharing with attendees how incorporating container technology into their business stategies can add value to both their day-to-day operations and bottom lines.”
