DUBLIN 13 February, 2018 Host in Ireland, a strategic global initiative created to increase awareness of the benefits of hosting digital assets in Ireland, and winner of the Datacloud Europe 2016 award for Innovative Data Center Location, today announces that Kedington, the largest IT network infrastructure solutions company in Ireland, will be a strategic partner in 2018.  In addition, Matt Porter, Managing Director of Kedington, will join the Host in Ireland Executive Committee.

“We are excited to welcome Kedington to our rapidly growing team of Host in Ireland partners,” says Garry Connolly, Founder and President of Host in Ireland.  “I also would like to welcome Mr. Porter to our Executive Committee. His industry expertise will help to further the initiative’s mission of educating the industry on the merits of hosting digital assets in Ireland.”

From its inception in May of 2014, the Host in Ireland initiative has worked tirelessly to educate the digital assets hosting community and generate a deeper understanding of Ireland’s value as an optimum hosting location, globally. Offering investors the highest in economic and political stability, global connectivity, available skilled labor, high-level security and reliability, Ireland is an exceptional location for digital assets hosting within the EU region.  As a result, Ireland has become the ‘Digital Gateway to Europe’ and the ‘Home of the Hybrid Cloud’ as multiple major multinational companies prioritise their online presence and aggressively launch digital-first initiatives.  The Executive Committee plays a vital role in supporting all aspects of the Host in Ireland initiative through collaboration, business advocacy efforts and strategic guidance.

“We’re getting involved with Host in Ireland because we want to help raise international awareness of the benefits of locating data centers in Ireland.  We have successfully executed small, medium and large data center projects for some of the world’s leading companies, and we’re keen to showcase this experience internationally,” states Matt Porter of Kedington.  “By partnering with Host in Ireland, we look forward to meeting new companies who are considering data center deployment in Ireland.  We are confident we will see further strong growth and development in this sector.”

The group is led by an experienced team of data communications and electronics professionals operating from three offices in the Republic of Ireland and two in Northern Ireland.

About Host in Ireland

Host in Ireland, winner of the Datacloud Europe 2016 award for Innovative Data Center Location, is an industry-led marketing initiative that provides timely and accurate information about Ireland’s digital asset hosting ecosystem at all times including demonstrating why Ireland is more cost-effective, efficient, reliable, secure and accessible than most other regions across the EU.  There’s a reason companies like Microsoft, Zendesk, Facebook, Twitter, Amazon, Adobe and beyond have sought to host their solutions in as well as to/from Ireland.  Many of these reasons are immediately realized due to access to affordable power, redundant network and bandwidth capacity along with a variety of data center providers that offer an array of services sustained by the “5 Ps”: Policy, People, Pedigree, Pipes, and Power.  On top of that is a very attractive business management structure, implemented by Ireland, which is keenly interested to bring new businesses into the market.  Ireland supports this initiative through its pro-business approach, attractive corporate tax and fiscal structures, common law based legal system, continued investment in off-Island fiber cables to the U.S. and Europe, financial support for data centre energy efficiency, and access to a skilled native English-speaking workforce – ensuring data asset compliance for companies large and small.  For more information about Host in Ireland, visit www.hostinireland.com.
