Services leverage GTT’s core fiber network optimized for latency performance and route diversity to meet increased demand for fast, resilient connectivity

McLean, VA, March 16, 2017GTT Communications, Inc. (NYSE: GTT), the leading global cloud networking provider to multinational clients, announced today the launch of Optical Transport services. GTT’s Optical Transport provides highly scalable bandwidth and low latency connectivity, enabling seamless transport of high volume data and cloud-based applications between global financial markets, data centers, media hubs and service provider networks.

The new services leverage the company’s subsea and terrestrial fiber optic network, which is optimized for latency performance. The network utilizes a state-of-the-art dense wave division multiplexing (DWDM) platform and includes three owned and operated, diverse transatlantic cables, as well as over 75 points of presence in North America and Europe. GTT’s Optical Transport includes Wavelengths and Low Latency services available at 10G and 100G speeds.

The service is delivered on GTT Express, the industry’s lowest latency transatlantic cable, which delivers unmatched performance of under 59 milliseconds between New York and London. Additionally, GTT’s Low Latency service provides card and route diversity, mitigating the risk of any single point of network failure.

“Optical Transport is a key addition to GTT’s comprehensive suite of cloud networking services,” stated Rick Calder, GTT president and CEO. “Demand for low latency, secure transport of large volumes of data and cloud-based applications continues to grow.
