Join Chief Revenue Officer, Ben Edmond, to Discuss Solutions to Extend Your Network and Accelerate Your Application Delivery

Global CapacityChicago, IL, USA, May 28, 2014Global Capacity, the leading network connectivity company, announces today that it will participate in the grand opening of Equinix’s fifth International Business Exchange™ (IBX®) in Dallas, DA6, located in the Dallas InfoMart at 1950 North Stemmons Freeway, on Wednesday, June 11 at 4:00 PM.  Executives from Global Capacity, Microsoft and Clear Government Solutions will join Equinix’s Americas President, Karl Strohmeyer, to highlight the importance of the Dallas expansion.

A highly network-dense location and important US and global economic center, the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area is home to 18 of the Fortune 500 and over 3,000 medium-to-large businesses.  As a major Internet and network peering exchange point connecting the East and West Coasts, Dallas also serves as a critical communications hub for the United States.  Furthermore, the market’s robust network interconnectivity has made it a major gateway into Mexico, Central and Latin America.

The event will showcase high-value solutions, including:

  • Equinix’s Cloud Exchange, which provides customers affordable, private and high-performance hybrid cloud solutions via seamless, on-demand and direct access to multiple clouds and multiple networks across the globe;
  • Microsoft Azure’s ExpressRoute;
  • Performance Hub, which enables customers to extend their network and accelerate application delivery, providing the ability to offer quality service to end-users; and
  • Gateway to Latin America, enabling customers to extend their network across the boarders into Mexico, Central and South America.

In July 2013, Global Capacity signed a solution partner agreement with Equinix to simplify customers’ connectivity needs globally with the combination of two complementary global platforms, One Marketplace and Performance Hub platform.  The partnership provides service providers and enterprise customers with the ability to automate design, pricing and execution for optimal network connectivity.

“Dallas is a high-demand market for Global Capacity’s customers,” states Ben Edmond, Chief Revenue Officer of Global Capacity.  “Our relationship with Equinix enables us to efficiently connect customers to key aggregation points such as Dallas, delivering cost-effective access to application and content ecosystems.”

Equinix’s DA6 grand opening event will feature an IBX tour as well as an open cocktail hour.  To attend, please RSVP by June 2, 2014 as space is limited.  We look forward to seeing you in Dallas!
