FiberLight to Provide 100-Gigabit Long-Haul Connectivity between Key Metros

Complete Connect Solution Makes FiberLight a One-Stop Shop for Point-to-Point Connectivity between Growing Southeastern Cities

Fiberlight200ATLANTA – October 18, 2016 FiberLight, LLC, an industry leader in providing high performance fiber optic network solutions, will turn up its previously announced 100-Gigabit (100G) long-haul connectivity between its metro networks on November 15th. This new offering expands the company’s existing transport portfolio and provides its customers the convenience of working directly with FiberLight for complete point-to-point connectivity between cities in different states across its dense, fiber-reach network of metro markets.

“FiberLight’s long haul transport gives customers the peace of mind that their quality of service will consistently meet our best-in-class SLAs and support commitments both within and between cities,” comments Kevin Coyne, FiberLight’s Chief Financial Officer.  “Further, these long-haul circuits connect our dense metro networks in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast with our expansive reach in Texas, making FiberLight’s footprint one continuous carrier-class network.”

Traditionally, FiberLight has been a go-to provider of last-mile service for companies needing point-to-point transport and dedicated bandwidth within some of the country’s most rapidly growing cities, including four of Inc.’s top 10 cities for fast growing companies on its recently released Inc. 5000 list.  This latest offering directly connects hubs in Ashburn, Atlanta, Dallas, Miami, Tampa and Washington, D.C., and will provide additional connectivity into its many other networks in Texas, including Houston and Austin.  The diverse 100G backbone network ring also provides interconnection between various markets and subsea landing points, and enhances connectivity to thousands of on-net and near-net buildings.

“Connecting our robust metro networks to one another is a logical next step for FiberLight and one that has been a long time coming,” comments Chris Bradford, FiberLight’s Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing.  “I am thrilled our Enterprise customers will now have complete connectivity between regions for their real-time, mission critical and data center applications entirely on the FiberLight network.”

FiberLight owns and manages over 1.65 million fiber miles in over 400 cities and towns across the United States.  It also maintains over 17,000 backbone access points, 1,700 on-net locations and presence in over 100 data centers across the country.
