McLean, VA, June 7, 2016 — GTT Communications, Inc., the leading global cloud networking provider to multinational clients, announced today that Elizabeth Satin has been elected to the GTT Board of Directors. Satin currently serves as head of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) for Wolters Kluwer, a global, publicly traded information services company based in The Netherlands with $4.8 billion in revenue.
Satin brings 25 years of M&A and corporate finance experience to her role on the GTT board, including over seven years at Wolters Kluwer, where she currently leads acquisitions and divestitures for the company’s four global divisions. Prior to her tenure at Wolters Kluwer, Satin was an investment banker focused on the media and communications industry. She spent 19 years at Lehman Brothers, where she served as managing director in the investment banking media and communications group. In this role, she led over 175 M&A, divestiture and financing transactions, including initial public offerings, and leveraged buyouts for industry-leading private-equity firms.
“Elizabeth brings unique expertise to the GTT board,” commented H. Brian Thompson, executive chairman and founder of GTT. “Her specialty in M&A and strong knowledge of international markets, specifically South America and Europe, will be invaluable to GTT as we continue to expand our business on a global scale.”
Satin’s leadership experience includes serving on the boards of Access Data (a provider of e-discovery, computer, and mobile device forensics for corporations, law firms and government agencies) and One Legal (a legal technology firm that provides online legal support tools). She is also a member of the Senior Management Council and Senior Leadership Council of Wolters Kluwer.
“Joining the board of a dynamic company like GTT is tremendously exciting,” said Satin. “I look forward to leveraging my experience in finance, including global M&A transactions, to help GTT continue its aggressive growth in the communications services market.”
Elizabeth holds an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business and a BA from Brown University in international relations and semiotics.
