Aqua Comms to Speak on the New Way of Building Networks and Opportunities in the United Kingdom

Aqua Comms Head of Network Engineering Jol Paling to Present at DataCentres North 2017 in Manchester, U.K.

DUBLIN – February 7, 2017 – Aqua Comms DAC (“Aqua Comms”), the operator of Ireland’s first dedicated subsea fibre-optic network interconnecting New York, Dublin and London, today announces that its Head of Network Engineering, Jol Paling, will speak at DataCentres North 2017. The event takes place 14-15 February, 2017 at the Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester, U.K.

On Wednesday, 15 February at 9:25 a.m., Mr. Paling will present “The New Transatlantic Submarine Cable that Brings Direct Connectivity from Manchester to New York, Dublin and London” in Strategy Steam Room 1. During this presentation, Mr. Paling will share with attendees the design and capabilities of a new transatlantic cable now terminating in Manchester, an initiative driven by an ever-expanding demand for international connectivity and bandwidth. This new direct connection from Manchester to New York, Dublin and London brings with it many exciting opportunities for data centre operators and the impacted markets they serve in the North of England.

In addition to this presentation, on Wednesday, 15 February at 10:30 a.m., also in Strategy Steam Room 1, Mr. Paling will join executives from CBRE, Zayo, and Stellium Datacentres for a panel discussion titled, “Future Gazing – How the North will Develop.” During the panel, Mr. Paling will explore how Manchester has developed into a direct gateway for internet traffic between New York, Dublin and London to enable growth throughout Northern U.K.
