December 2017 | Volume 8
From Our CEO
To our esteemed clients, partners and industry colleagues,

As 2017 comes to a close, I’d like to take this opportunity to reflect on a great year and look ahead to 2018.

2017 was a banner year for Webair, marked by the onboarding of numerous new clients and partnerships with leading network fabrics, cloud service providers, healthcare solution providers, MSSPs, and distributors. We also officially launched our Disaster and Ransomware Recovery, Direct Access Cloud and Hybrid IT Management solutions. Most recently, Webair was once again listed as a Representative Vendor in Gartner’s report on healthcare cloud providers.

So, what’s next for Webair in 2018? We’re focused on addressing growing customer demand for low latency compliance cloud and managed hybrid infrastructure. We’ll be doing so by rolling out a $20M investment in cloud and critical infrastructure upgrades at our NY1 facility, driven by our recent acceptance into the New York Empire State Development (ESD) program as well as an allocation of 1 MW of low-cost hydropower from New York Power Authority’s (NYPA’s) ReCharge NY program. Webair is also kicking off the conference season with a trip to PTC’18 in Honolulu followed by exhibiting at HIMSS 18 in Las Vegas.

We look forward to continuing the conversation and thank you for your continued support. Wishing you a very happy holiday season and a prosperous New Year from all of us at Webair.

Sincerely,

Michael C. Orza
Founder & CEO
Webair Spotlight: Hybrid IT Management
There is no one-size-fits-all model when it comes to critical IT infrastructure. More and more organizations are realizing the benefits of selecting platforms based on a per-workload or application basis where they make the most sense when considering factors important to the specific use case. As such, the industry is seeing a rapid shift in the migration to hybrid cloud solutions, which enable companies to retain control of their IT environments, while matching their workloads with the appropriate destinations, including Webair’s own local, low-latency enterprise public cloud. According to Gartner, 90% of organizations will adopt hybrid infrastructure by 2020.

Hybrid deployments also enable organizations to make cost, performance, security and ownership decisions on a per-use case basis, while providing the flexibility to accommodate for change over time. Companies using open and transparent Hybrid IT architectures can also choose to shift accountability of certain aspects of their infrastructure third-party providers such as Webair. This allows applications to be easily consumed by end users and seamlessly shifted between their organizations and the third-party service providers they are leveraging regardless of hosting platforms. With the proper architecture, security can also be centralized and standardized across all platforms instead of organizations conceding on network security or performance to shift accountability to these parties.

Webair understands the complex hybrid needs of today’s companies, offering hybrid IT orchestration and management across multiple platforms and infrastructure. Our Hybrid IT Management solution offers full ownership of customers’ private clouds as well as connectivity from the end users’ premises to SaaS providers and hyperscalers such Azure and AWS.
