What’s New at the Edge |
Welcome to Miami
During the final quarter of 2016, EdgeConneX® launched its second Miami Edge Data Center® (EDC) on one of the densest fiber routes in the country, creating a main interconnection location for traffic exchange with the Americas. Located in Miami Gardens, just 10 miles north of the NAP of the Americas, this new Miami EDC provides direct access to LATAM, South America and the Caribbean via dark and lit fiber for local EdgeConneX customers, including wireless carriers, service providers, Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), cloud providers and enterprises.
Portland Says Hello to Hyperscale
As an increasing number of large enterprises such as LinkedIn and Adobe turn to Portland for their dedicated facilities, the data center ecosystem throughout the region has reached hyperscale status. Driven by the availability of multiple subsea cable landing stations delivering international trans-pacific interconnectivity, the increasing demand for data center space within the emerging Portland market has created a new opportunity for EdgeConneX to enter this region with a purpose-built, edge-of-network facility designed for high-performance, low-latency connectivity as well as direct access to top cloud providers.
