Stamford, CT, January 23, 2015 – Plasma Air International's new PlasmaSoft 1.0 IAQ Procedure Software will receive an Honorable Mention in the Software Category of the 2015 Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration (AHR) Expo Innovation Awards. The annual competition is sponsored by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) and the AHR Expo. The awards recognize companies that have developed the most creative and useful products in the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR) industry.
Plasma Air's PlasmaSoft 1.0 IAQ Procedure Software is the first web-based program of its kind that supports use of the underutilized ASHRAE Standard 62.1 IAQ Procedure. The program calculates and compares contaminant levels using both ASHRAE's Ventilation Rate Method (VRM) and IAQ Procedure (IAQP) in reducing outdoor air intake. It contains default data for all occupancy categories and stores project / zone data in the cloud. This tool arms engineers and building owners with the information they need to deliver cost-effective, energy-efficient buildings resulting in better IAQ.
Plasma Air's new software is recognized by a panel of expert judges consisting of ASHRAE members who evaluated the product based on innovation, application, value to the user and market impact. Representing the major segments of the HVACR marketplace, the award entries were selected in 10 categories from the most innovative new products among the thousands that will be displayed at the AHR Expo, the largest and most comprehensive HVACR exposition in the world. This is the second year in a row that a Plasma Air product offering has been recognized in this manner.
