Bluebird Network Celebrates Missouri Network Alliance’s 20th Anniversary



COLUMBIA, MISSOURI — Bluebird Network, LLC, a Midwest telecommunications company, announces that it is celebrating its 20th anniversary on May 21, 2019. Missouri Network Alliance (MNA), founded in 1999, joined with Bluebird Media and Illinois Network Alliance in 2011 to form Bluebird Network (“Bluebird”), and in 2014 the Bluebird Underground Data Center was added through acquisition. For over 20 years, Bluebird has been a leading company in the telecommunications industry, offering enhanced broadband capabilities, building long-lasting relationships and serving local business owners, communities and other nationwide carriers. As a result, the company is trusted as a key business enabler by its employees and customers, some for over 18 years.

The company has built over 6,500 fiber route miles across its two-decade history, establishing itself as a primary provider of transport and high-speed internet services in the Midwest. Bluebird provides these fiber-based services in urban, rural and underserved areas, connecting rural areas to major cities. Bluebird is currently completing several additional fiber expansions throughout Missouri.

Bluebird Network Completes Fiber Network Expansion into Weldon Spring
Missouri Network Expansion Meets Customer Demand for Reliable High-Capacity Broadband

COLUMBIA, MISSOURI — May 23, 2019 — Bluebird Network, a Midwest telecommunications company, today announces the completion of a new fiber build in Weldon Spring, MO, a St. Louis area expansion project that was originally announced in May 2018. This newly installed fiber-optic network connects to major commercial areas and brings highly reliable broadband services to the Missouri communities of Weldon Spring, Dardenne Prairie and Cottleville.

Bluebird is dedicated to densifying current fiber routes and expanding its fiber reach into new and underserved areas. Additional upcoming densification projects are planned throughout the Midwest over the next few years. FirstNet to Release Road Map in Coming Months, Outlines 6 Technology Domains

The First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet Authority) said the road map announced at is March meeting will be released later this summer and will advance the public-safety broadband network. At a June 26 meeting in Indianapolis, the FirstNet board supported the direction of the road map and its alignment with public safety’s communications needs.
