NEDAS Appoints Special Advisors to its Charity and Welcoming Committees

Appointments Include Laurie Caruso as Chair of the Charity Committee and Douglas Fishman as Chair of the Welcoming Committee

NEW YORK – JULY 23, 2019NEDAS,  a grassroots association located at the intersection of wireline and wireless with a goal of improving communications infrastructure to the edge for buildings, municipalities, public safety, enterprise solutions and more, announces the appointment of two industry executives as Committee Chairpersons to its organization.  Laurie Caruso is appointed the Chair of the NEDAS Charity Committee and Douglas Fishman is appointed the Chair of the NEDAS Welcome Committee.  Both Chairpersons were announced at the NEDAS Boston Symposium held on July 17, 2019 and will continue to implement their program missions at the NEDAS NYC Summit on September 5, 2019.

As the Chair of the NEDAS Charity Committee, Laurie Caruso, founder and CEO of Safe-Fi Technologies, will identify charities and raise awareness for selected charitable organizations at all NEDAS events.  Working with two other members of the NEDAS Advisory Committee, one charity organization will be selected in 2019 with others for 2020 under review.   Caruso brings more than 26 years of telecommunications industry experience in overseeing large system deployments with an emphasis on public safety.  During the NEDAS Boston Symposium, Caruso unveiled the first charity the group is focused on, the Tower Family Foundation, which NEDAS will implement campaigns to raise awareness and drive corporate and individual donations to help families of those injured or lost their lives working on communication tower installations.

Douglas Fishman serves as the Chair of the NEDAS Welcoming Committee where he will work with two other members of the NEDAS Advisory Committee to develop programs and outreach initiatives focused on welcoming new attendees to NEDAS events and networking opportunities. Mr. Fishman has served for six years as Director of DAS Design and Implementation for SQUAN and has been a member of the NEDAS Advisory Council since 2013. He has contributed to numerous DAS projects including the Javits Center, World Financial Center and the Central Park Tower and has served as a panelist or moderator at seven NEDAS events.
