LONDON / MONACO – May 3, 2019 – BroadGroup today announced the shortlist for the 12th annual Datacloud Global Awards. These prestigious awards recognise the teams, products, innovations, initiatives and projects that demonstrate data centre, edge, cloud innovation and service excellence.
The winners, selected by an independent international panel of expert judges, will be announced at the dinner and ceremony in Monaco on the evening of June 4, 2019. The ceremony will be hosted by actress, model and charity campaigner Joanna Lumley OBE and is proudly sponsored by Awards Patron Vertiv.
Smart infrastructure is a global opportunity, and the world is currently experiencing the rapid development of technologies that are capable of delivering better performance at a lower cost. This phenomenon has opened up new sectors to the Datacloud Global Awards 2019. These new categories include awards for the cybersecurity sector and the information security market data centre enablement of Smart Cities, 5G deployment, innovation of IT architecture and design, and data center construction for hyperscalers.
Chairman of the judging panel, Gerd Simon, remarked, “The 2019 Datacloud Global Awards received the highest number of nominations so far. The new award categories in particular have attracted newcomers from organizations all over the world. The shortlisted companies represent nothing less than leaders in their categories that are driving this data centric industry forward through an innovative spirit.”
